I am a fan of hard ciders and Vermont has a great selection. We were glad to find a place to have lunch on New Year’s Day. My husband and I had the roast beef Florentine; the beef melted in our mouth with the caramelized onions. The flights are reasonably priced and worth trying all ciders on tap. Head across to the retail shop for a fresh dozen of cider donuts. The staff are friendly and helpful when making cider selections.
Their breakfast sandwiches are a must try. I got mine in the homemade biscuits and it was delicious. Located right by cold hollow cider mill so you can go there as well. Highly recommend. The atmosphere is great and I loved their interior, also lots of outside seating
Good selection of ciders, pretty reasonably priced and very good. flight of 4 for 9.85 or a 16 oz for 9.85 with a souvenir glass. Pretty rainy while here but the view from the Dining area looks like it has potential. Supposedly best breakfast sandwich In the area too.
The maple cinnamon roll was delicious and enjoy the cider flight.
Cold Hollow Cider Mill is not just a place for apple cider, cider donuts, Vermont-themed snacks and treats - they actually have a full cider tasting room, bar, and sandwich shop! Cold Hollow Cider Mill showcases all their hard cider and other specialty drinks here at The Barn, and there are tasting sessions available to be a part of! They have a great selection of sandwiches and other food featuring specialty Vermont ingredients like a lot of apple cider-flavored spreads, meats, and more! I really do think this is a bit of a hidden gem - everyone parks in front of Cold Hollow and goes inside the main mill building, and many people forget this other building is even here. If you made it all the way to Waterbury, might as well walk across the parking lot to check out another great place! I really love the whole Cold Hollow Cider Mill complex!
We like to come here for their breakfast sandwiches, served from opening until 10:30am. They're probably the best in the area, and I've often overhear people at other tables saying the same thing. The option for the homemade cheddar biscuit is a must.
Went here for the Donut. It was cool seeing it being made in real time. The donut is more cake-y donut, not yeast. It was good though. The donuts are relatively small, but tastes great when warm. Do grab something to drink since the donut makes your throat bit dry.
We had the hot Italian panini and the roast beef wrap, both are absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend giving their panini a try because the herb focaccia is amazing: crunch on the outside from the press but such tender on the inside. Heavenly with the melted cheese. The wrap has a maple horseradish mustard sauce that we wanted to buy from the shop anyways, so it was great to be taste it before purchasing (we end up buying it, it’s not overly sweet with the maple, which we loved)
